Lamb and Beef

Granite Springs is a small family farm located in Nulla Vale, Central Victoria.

Direct selling of our beef and lamb is a new venture for us.  We want to ensure that our animals are healthy and happy and that a premium product is delivered to you with minimum intervention whilst also supporting local businesses.

Our meat is hung in a salt wall room for 3 weeks for the beef and 2 weeks for the lamb.  This means that flavour and tenderness is optimum quality.

Exact cuts and weights will vary depending on the animal.   What we can tell you is that meat is divided evenly across each 10 kilo box which provides you with a range of roasts, steaks or chops, diced meat, mince and sausages.

We also now hold a stall at the Tallarook Farmers Market on the first Sunday of the month.  Anything that is remaining after the market will be frozen and can be purchased via the list below.

  • Lamb Boxes

    Expected  contents of  10 kilo  box

    Shoulder roast (bone in), 1/2 leg roast (bone in), butterflied 1/2 leg, mini rolled roast, loin chops, cutlets, neck chops, shanks and sausages.

    A limited amount of soup  bones available on request – let us know and we will do our best to get you some.

    Meat is packaged in convenient sizes and is labeled ready for your fridge or freezer.

    5 kilo boxes will have a few less cuts but will still have plenty of variety.

  • Beef Boxes

    Expected contents of 10 kilo box

    Roasts, prime cuts – including a mixture of porterhouse, t-bone, eye fillet, scotch fillet – snitzel, diced meat, mince, sausages, ribs, burger mix.*

    *As meat is being divided amongst many boxes you may not receive one of each cut, however it will be an equal distribution of prime and secondary cuts.

    A limited amount of soup and dog bones available on request – let us know and we will do our best to get you some.

    Meat is packaged in convenient sizes and is labeled ready for your fridge or freezer.

    5 kilo boxes will have a few less cuts but will still have plenty of variety.

  • Mixed lamb and beef boxes

    Approximately 5 kilos of each meat which will be a selection of the cuts included in the 10 kilo boxes.

    *As meat is being divided into smaller quantities not all cuts in the 10 kilo boxes will be included, however it will be an equal distribution of prime and secondary cuts.

    A limited amount of soup and dog bones available on request – let us know and we will do our best to get you some.

    Meat is packaged in convenient sizes and is labeled ready for your fridge or freezer.

    5 kilo boxes will have a few less cuts but will still have plenty of variety.

    Register your interest in a beef box, lamb box or a box with a mixture of both.  We will contact you once delivery date is finalised.  Payment can be made by direct deposit before delivery or you can arrange to pay by cash on delivery.

  • Delivery details

    Delivery to the townships of the Macedon Ranges and Sunbury is free.

    For homes more than 2km’s from the town centre will incur a $5 fee (not applied if on route to other deliveries).

    For other areas pick up locations can be arranged – these include Tallarook Farmers Market on the Sunday morning of the delivery month and Pyalong and Tooborac on the Sunday afternoon.

    Special deliveries and relevant fees will be accessed on an individual basis.

  • Butchering

    We are excited to have discovered we have a quality butcher situated in Goldie, which is right next to Nulla Vale .

    Our animals travel a minimal distance to Hardwicks abattoir in Kyneton then the wonderful team at  Goldie Bespoke Butchery look after the rest, which includes hanging the meat in their salt wall room (3 weeks for beef and 2 weeks for lamb).
